The Art of Sound Healing | Level 1
This immersive 3-day training is for those who are interested in a deeper study of the power of sound and the practical applications of Sound Healing, with particular focus on the use of the voice and crystal Singing Bowls as primary tools.
Learn how to locate a frequency in the body, and how to use it in a variety of treatment options once you’ve found it.
Explore how to categorize instruments based on their activating or calming qualities so you’ll know which instruments to use for which issues to heal yourself and others.
Beginning with an introductory overview of the history and science of Sound Healing, this class flows through lectures, discussions, and exercises as we explore:
- the fundamentals of sound healing
- the power of human voice as a healing tool
- chakra theory and how it relates to sound
- toning
- bowl playing techniques
- the relationship between breath and voice
- the power of intention
- sound and the movement of energy
- hands-on practice
Also covered are how to use sound tools to assess physical and energetic blockages, and how vibration and resonance shift and balance brain waves, facilitating relaxation that allows transformational healing to occur.
While Sound Healing can be used on its own, it can also be easily and beautifully incorporated with other healing modalities, such as reiki, yoga, massage, and acupuncture. This training is suitable for practitioners at any level, whether you are building something new, or looking to augment and expand your current practice.

The Art of Sound Healing | Level 2
September 10 – 14, 2026
Join us for a 5-day adventure with your soul sound family on Orcas Island. Open to all students of sound healing who have completed our Level 1 Art of Sound Healing or a similar certified training.
The Level I Art of Sound Healing training was awe-inspiring, life giving, and soul nourishing. Irene and Karen have a very special bond and create safety for others to explore their natural sound box and how to pair that with and without the bowls. Entering the training I was unaware how much would be done surrounding the voice. I feel that the training helped me explore the tender and awkward parts coexisting inside myself ready to bubble and roar to surface. I was on the waitlist for the training and by some miracle a spot opened up. It’s a worthwhile investment into yourself even if you’re a longtime practitioner or a newcomer wanting to explore playing with sound. It is the direction that I want to move in as a healer. The Seattle Sound Temple is a haven for healing and I feel so fortunate to be guided by both!

An Instructional Seminar for Beginners
Are you new to the Alchemy Singing Bowls? Have you recently purchased a bowl (or a few!) and need more basic technical guidance?
We created this entry-level instructional seminar for YOU!
In this accessible 2-hour interactive “play” shop, we’ll explore important fundamentals like:
- basic wand techniques
- rhythm, sustain, and SPACE
- why differentiating “toning” from “singing” matters
We’ll also cover packing and unpacking, ring size, and optimal bowl arrangement. There will be generous time allotted for Q&A so bring your questions!
Limited to 12 participants. Choose ONE of your Alchemy Singing Bowls to bring with you. If you don’t own a singing bowl, you’re welcome to borrow one of the Temple’s bowls for the class.
